Project Acai and Absolute Acai – Acai Hype
For most of you who think smoothie bowls is solely a breakfast option, thats because you haven’t experienced an Acai bowl.
What is Acai? so what is it about this bowl that everyone is raving over?
Acai is a superfood which is essentially a type of berry. It’s said to contain all the essential amino acids and nutrients required by the human body. Also, extremely high in antioxidants and rich in omega fatty acids. for more benefits of acai, click here.
On certain days when I feel like going rawtill4, I’ll have an acai bowl for lunch. I believe that fruits should be eaten before any cooked food. This is to allow for ease of digestion and to prevent fermentation which would lead to bloating and gas. Consuming fruits high in anti oxidants would eradicate/reduce free radicals present in our bodies plus it should be consumed BEFORE cooked food for optimum absorption of nutrients.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this cos its sweet and cooling. A great way to combat the sweltering heat in Singapore. It has TONS of toppings that are Vegan. Tho this is something we all can make/assemble ourselves but enjoying it with a friend or two outside is definitely worth the cost. Unless you have an extreme hate for fruits, then your taste buds will be satisfied with acai bowls.
Project Acai vs Absolute Acai
Project Acai has more toppings (grapes, mango, dragonfruit) and it’s $1 cheaper compared to Absolute Acai. On the other hand, Absolute Acai’s Acai base is much more flavourful and less icy. Both of them are still equally flavour-tastic. I’d come back for both.
Other than the fact that the Project Acai at Takashimaya doesn’t really have many seats compared to their other branch at Holland V, I can’t seem to find any fault with Acai bowls. 🙂
